Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a Youth Support Worker for an Alternative Provision in Wirral, supporting pupils aged 5-11 with SEMH and SEN. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, help pupils access the curriculum, and promote inclusion in day-to-day school life.

This temporary, long-term position offers a daily rate of £95-105 and opportunities for ongoing training within a supportive education setting. DBS checks and right to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Strong relevant school-based experience or children's residential support experience.
• Understanding of SEMH and SEN needs and how to support pupils.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection procedures, and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND, including Autism and SLCN.
• Promoting inclusion by helping pupils access mainstream learning and school life.
• Supporting the class teacher with behaviour support strategies and consistent expectations.
• Assisting with safeguarding and day-to-day operations as a Teaching Assistant - Special Resource Provision.
• Recording progress and contributing to evidence of pupil outcomes.
