Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated Youth Worker to support in a Secondary SEMH Provision in Stockport. You will provide 1:1 and small-group mentoring, build positive relationships with pupils, and help them regulate emotions to improve behaviour and engagement.

Hours are 8:30am - 3:45pm with a daily pay rate of £97 - £115. The role involves working with teachers and pastoral staff to promote attendance and pupil development, ASAP start.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small-group mentoring and support
• Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils
• Supporting students to regulate their emotions and manage challenging situations
• Helping pupils understand and make positive changes to their behaviour
• Encouraging engagement with learning and improving attendance
• Supporting pupils who may be at risk of disengaging from education
• Working alongside teachers, pastoral staff and the wider school team
• Helping pupils develop confidence, resilience and independence
• De-escalating challenging situations in a calm and professional manner
• Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining clear boundaries
