Job summary

Confidential, Reading-based school, is seeking a compassionate Youth Support Worker to assist students aged 5 to 11 with SEMH. You will help with emotional regulation, behaviour development and academic progress within a nurturing, structured environment, aligned to EHCPs and restorative practices.

The role offers term-time hours, a daytime salary of £90–£100 per day, and opportunities for professional development as part of a dedicated safeguarding and wellbeing team.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEMH or behavioural needs is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support students aged 5–11 with SEMH to regulate emotions and behaviour.
• Support academic progress within a specialist SEMH setting.
• Contribute to EHCP planning and delivery.
• Work within a restorative practices framework.
