Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to provide flexible supply support across South Birmingham primary schools. You will work 1:1 and in small groups, supporting pupils with ASC, ADHD, Speech & Language needs and SEMH.

You will assist teachers in delivering inclusive lessons, help pupils access learning and achieve targets, and promote positive behaviour and wellbeing. Immediate start with ongoing PD and consultant support.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children with SEN in a school, nursery, care, or support setting.
  • Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Are you a passionate and dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work across South Birmingham primary schools?

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking caring and proactive SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech & Language Difficulties, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We work with a variety of welcoming primary schools that require both short-term and long-term supply support.

The Role
  • Supporting children with special educational needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
  • Helping pupils to access learning and achieve their individual targets
  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Supporting personal care where required
The Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school, nursery, care, or support setting
  • A patient, nurturing, and positive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
