Prospero Teaching are supporting a welcoming primary school in Pontefract (WF9) to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant. The role is full-time and long-term, starting ASAP, with a daily rate of £90–£110 depending on experience and responsibilities.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support, assist in delivering inclusive lessons, and help pupils develop academically, socially and emotionally while implementing EHCP targets and personalised plans.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting.
  • Patient, caring and proactive approach to working with pupils with additional needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow guidance from teachers and SENCOs.
  • Genuine passion for supporting children and helping them succeed.

Responsibilities

Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)


Location: WF9, Pontefract, South Yorkshire


Start Date: ASAP


Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term


Rate: GBP90 GBP110 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)


Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am 3:30pm

To be eligible you Must:


  • Have the Right to Work in the UK.

  • Hold an enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the online update service, or be willing to obtain one.

  • Be able to provide two professional child-related references.
