Job summary

Randstad Education is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm primary school where every child is encouraged to thrive.

You will work with the class teacher and SENCO to support pupils with diverse needs, helping them access learning, build confidence and develop social skills. A DBS check is required or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting.
• Calm, patient and empathetic approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.

Randstad Education is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm and welcoming primary school where every child is encouraged to thrive.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, youll work closely with the class teacher and the schools SENCO to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of special educational needs. Youll help to create a positive, nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one:to:one or small group support to pupils with additional needs


• Support learning in line with individual education plans (IEPs)


• Assist the class teacher with planning and adapting activities


• Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing


• Build trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
