Job summary

Inspire EHC in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, is seeking a committed 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support Primary and Secondary students with ASD & Complex Needs. You will work closely with the school team to tailor activities and monitor progress.

The role is term-time only, Monday to Friday 09:00–15:30, with a temp-to-perm pathway and a daily rate of £95–£105, including holiday pay. A DBS check is required, and candidates must be able to commute to Welwyn Garden City.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with SEND is highly desirable.
• Compassionate, patient and understanding approach to working with children.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
• A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
• Must be able to commute to Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire.

Responsibilities

• Organise engaging learning resources and activities.
• Adapt lessons to meet students' needs.
• Provide feedback and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with personal care when required.
• Supervise pupils during educational visits and breaks.
• Promote independence, teamwork, and positive behaviour.

Position Details
