Job summary

Supply Desk is partnering with a Windsor area SEN school to appoint an MLD Teaching Assistant. The role is full-time, starting September, supporting pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties in a structured and inclusive environment.

You will work closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored activities, nurture independence, and help pupils build confidence and essential skills in literacy, numeracy, and communication. Enhanced DBS check will be required for successful applicants.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly MLD.
• Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work full-time in the Windsor area.
• Desirable: Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with MLD.
• Support the delivery of tailored lessons and differentiated activities.
• Help pupils develop core skills in literacy, numeracy, and communication.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and social development.
• Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies.
• Adapt resources to meet individual learning needs.
• Support pupils with SEN, including those with ASD or other needs.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
• Contribute to a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
