Job summary

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist setting in Lincoln. You will support pupils with MLD, PMLD, SEMH and behavioural needs, delivering one-to-one and small-group support, and helping students gain confidence and social skills.

The role requires safeguarding knowledge and a willingness to work on a supply basis with the potential for a long-term, permanent position. DBS and safe recruitment checks apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEN, education, care or support roles is highly desirable.
• Passion for supporting children with additional needs.
• Patient, empathetic and resilient with a calm approach to challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities.
• Provide tailored one-to-one and small-group support.
• Help pupils engage with learning and develop confidence, independence and social skills.
• Support positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Assist with personal care and complex care needs where required.
• Work closely with teachers and professionals to ensure appropriate support.
• Build positive, trusting relationships and create an inclusive learning environment.
