Darlington County School District is seeking an Exceptional Education Shadow at Darlington High School for the 2026-2027 school year. The role is a 183-day position with a base salary of $20,159, non-exempt status, and reporting to the Principal.

Availability covers the 2026-2027 school year, with responsibilities including student supervision and instructional support under the classroom teacher's direction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of sixty (60) academic credit hours from an accredited institution of higher education.
• Or an associate degree (or higher).
• Or High School Diploma or the equivalent.
• Ready to Work Credentials: WIN Silver Level 4 or higher or Work Keys scores (Applied Mathematics 4, Reading for Information 4, Writing 4) or ParaPro passing score 456.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a mandated reporter to ensure student safety.
• Adapts activities and materials under teacher direction to meet IEP goals.
• Administers tests and homework to support student needs.
• Assists students with personal care and transitions.
• Communicates with instructional staff and health professionals regarding progress.
