Job summary

Randstad Education is recruiting for a SEMH school in Lingfield, with September start and term-time hours from 8:40am to 3:55pm, Monday to Friday. The role offers a permanent position after a 12-week probationary period.

The successful candidate will provide personal care for pupils aged 5-16, undergo Enhanced DBS checks, bring transferable care or education experience, hold a driving licence with access to a car, and adopt a trauma-informed approach to support vulnerable students.

Qualifications

  • Ability to provide personal care for ages 5-16.
  • Enhanced DBS on update service (or willingness to obtain).
  • Transferable skills from care, social care, education, fostering or similar.
  • Full driving licence and access to a car.
  • Trauma-informed approach to teaching and supporting students with SEMH.

Responsibilities

  • Support students with social, emotional and mental health needs.
  • Assist with personal care where required.
  • Contribute to a calm, safe learning environment during term-time hours.

(Salary: £88 - £97 per day - permanent after 12 week probationary period)

Essentials:

  • You must be able to do personal care for ages 5-16 years old.

  • A driving licence and access to a car (due to the campus' remote location).
  • A trauma-informed approach to teaching and supporting students with social, emotional and mental health needs.
  • Emotional resilience and unwavering care for vulnerable children.
