Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space Limited in Stevenage offers a 12-month internship within Satellite AIT and National Programmes. You will engage across multiple spacecraft projects, learn build and test processes, and gain hands-on exposure in a high-tech engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Mechanical, Electrical or Software Engineering degrees are favoured.
• Any degree with an engineering content would be considered.
• Passion for making “stuff” and practical problem solving.
• Proficient with Google Suite or MS Office.
• Logically minded with ability to see critical paths in schedules.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to lead improvements.

Responsibilities

• Promote best practice across projects and contribute to improvements.
• Regularly visit cleanrooms and interact with engineers and technicians.
• Learn how spacecraft are built: planning routines, quality processes and execution systems.
• Develop tools and forecast workload to support project delivery.
