Job summary

MDA Space in the UK is seeking an Institutional Business Development Manager at the Harwell office to cultivate UK and European institutional partnerships. You will lead market strategies, build key relationships, and manage a robust pipeline across government and space industry stakeholders.

The role reports to the Head of Business Development and Sales and requires coordinating bids, pricing strategies, and Go-to-Market activities with the Canadian teams. Hybrid work is available.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent in space/technical discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years in a business development role in space, institutional customers preferred.
• Knowledge of Space Industry and Ecosystem.
• Ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships, manage a pipeline, and win contracts.

Responsibilities

• Grow revenue by identifying and developing new opportunities with UK/European institutional partners.
• Develop strategic partner networks and align capabilities with future opportunities.
• Build opportunity pipelines and drive qualification within the Business Area.
• Lead capture activities, market development, win strategies and pricing plans.
• Market the company capabilities to government customers and industry partners; maintain market intelligence.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver compliant proposals and drive pursuit progress.
• Represent MDA Space UK in meetings, events, and conferences; travel as required.
