Job summary

MDA Space in the UK invites an Institutional Business Development Manager to cultivate relationships with UK and European institutional customers, including UKSA, UKRI and ESA. You will shape market strategies, grow a robust pipeline and coordinate cross-functional bids.

Reporting to the Head of Business Development, you will manage account strategy, price-to-win, and engagement with government customers, with travel as needed to conferences and client sites.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent in a space-related or technical discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years in business development, ideally within the Space industry.
• Proven ability to develop and manage an institutional opportunity pipeline.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Grow revenue by identifying new institutional opportunities and maintaining key relationships with UK/European partners.
• Develop strategic partner networks to complement MDA Space capabilities.
• Lead bid development, pricing strategy and proposals.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver compliant proposals on time.
• Represent MDA Space at meetings and industry events; travel as required.
