Cairndale Hotel & Spa in Dumfries is seeking talented Spa Therapists to join our luxury team. Hours range from 16 to 30 per week across treatments, with opportunities to upsell products and boost guest satisfaction.

You will deliver exceptional treatments, uphold brand standards, and support the Spa Manager with daily tasks in a busy, guest-focused environment at our Dumfries location. Strong English communication, UK work eligibility and a Beauty Therapy Level 3 qualification are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have strong English communications skills both written and oral.
• Eligible to work in the UK (Sponsorship is not available).
• HND/SVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional treatments to guests of the Cairndale Hotel & Spa at all times.
• Deliver treatments as per training protocols, upsell spa products post treatment.
• Greet guests warmly and address questions or concerns about spa areas.
• Assist with laundry, restock, cleaning and maintaining spa treatment rooms and facilities.
• Maintain stock and prevent waste by using product quantities correctly.
• Be a brand ambassador in uniform standards and personal presentation.
• Assist Spa Manager in reaching spa budget through upselling and retail.
• Keep updated with product knowledge, brand standards and industry trends.

The Spa at the Cairndale Hotel is a new destination Spa for the south of Scotland, offering treatments, spa days and wellness retreats in the heart of Dumfries.

The hotel is popular for large events including weddings, birthday celebrations and conferences. The hotel also boasts banqueting facilities including grand ballroom for up to 350 guests.

The hotel is centrally located right in the heart of Dumfries, 5 minutes from the train station and a stopping point on a number of bus routes.

The role of our Spa Therapists

Cairndale Hotel & Spa is ready to receive applications from exceptional talented individuals to join our Luxury Spa. Hours will range from 16 to 30 hours a week depending on treatments and business.

You will ultimately be responsible for delivering exceptional spa treatments to guests and exceeding their expectations using and promoting retail products to support this. This will involve but not limited to performing exceptional treatments as trained and directed by the Spa Manager and Product House Trainer, following a daily agenda supplied at the beginning of each shift. Fulfil other daily tasks required within the business, hotel or occasionally off site as deemed necessary to promote the Spa by the Spa Manager. Having strong attention to detail, the ability to work well as an individual and as part of a team and a can-do attitude are all essentials for this role.

Candidate Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional treatments to guests of the Cairndale Hotel & Spa at all times
• Deliver treatments as per training protocols, ensuring after every treatment you are recommending our spa products to use post treatment at home, in line with guests needs and to achieve sales targets set by Spa Manager
• Greeting each guest with a warm welcome. Having knowledge of all spa areas to address guest questions or concerns
• Ancillary tasks throughout shift included but not limited to laundry, restock of treatment room essentials, cleaning and maintaining spa treatment room and spa treatment areas such as relaxation room and spa facilities as directed by Spa Manager
• Keeping treatment room stock under supervision and using product quantities correctly as to not waste stock
• Be a brand ambassador in areas such as uniform standards and personal presentation.
• Support Spa Manager in reaching spa budget by upselling treatments and retail to each guest where appropriate
• Keep own knowledge updated on product and brand knowledge, treatment brand standards outside of formal training by managers
• Keeping updated with industry trends

Candidate Requirements

• Must have strong English communications skills both written and oral
• Must be eligible to work in the UK (Sponsorship is not available for this specific role)
• HND/SVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy essential or equivalent
• Previous experience of a role within a similar environment desired but not essential
