Job summary

Mistral AI is seeking an Operations Engineer to build and support the infrastructure behind sovereign AI, running large-scale Linux environments, cloud systems, and AI workloads. You will ensure reliability, security, and performance while enabling customers to leverage Mistral’s sovereign AI platform.

In this role, you’ll collaborate across research, product, and infrastructure teams and explore modern cloud-native technologies, including Kubernetes and GPU orchestration, to evolve our platform

Qualifications

• Strong Linux system administration experience at scale.
• Proficiency in Slurm and/or Kubernetes to manage workloads.
• Familiarity with distributed storage, high performance networking, cloud security, or GPU/AI/ML workloads.
• Customer-focused mindset: diagnose, explain, and resolve issues for users.
• Pragmatic, collaborative, hands-on approach across AI, infra and customer success.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate the infrastructure powering sovereign AI, including Linux environments, cloud systems, and AI workloads.
• Troubleshoot incidents to ensure high availability, performance, and security for models, products, and compute platforms.
• Collaborate with research, product, and infrastructure teams to align systems with AI and customer needs.
• Provide technical support to customers and internal teams, diagnosing issues and guiding solutions.
• Explore and contribute to modern cloud-native technologies, including Kubernetes and GPU orchestration.
