Job summary

Mistral AI is seeking an Applied AI Engineer focused on DevOps to help customers adopt our products, design scalable AI deployments, and bridge the gap between research and production. You will work with highly capable teams to tailor deployment architectures, optimize performance, and ensure robust operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering role.
• Experience deploying AI-based products in production environments.
• Fluent in Python.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment tools.
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on‑premises infrastructure.
• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Onboard customers on our products, guiding deployment and integration across environments.
• Deploy state-of-the-art AI applications from consumer to industrial use cases, collaborating with customers to optimize deployments.
• Work with researchers and product engineers on complex projects involving deployment, scaling, and contributing to open-source codebases for inference and tuning.
• Participate in pre-sales calls to understand client needs and explain Mistral technologies to stakeholders.
