Mistral AI is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join the Cloud Platform team. You will shape reliability, scalability and performance of our Cloud platform and customer-facing apps, collaborating with software and product teams to exceed expectations.

You will design and maintain scalable infrastructure, implement monitoring and incident response, and automate deployment and orchestration to support AI workloads at scale.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in DevOps or SRE roles with strong expertise in bare metal infrastructure and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with in-production troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and on-call rotations.
• Proficiency with reliability KPIs, observability, alerting, and SLAs.
• Experience with CI/CD, containerization, and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Go, Bash) and strong software development basics.
• Networking, security, and system administration concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; collaborative mindset.
• Experience in AI/ML environments or HPC is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, highly available infrastructures for the Cloud platform.
• Operate systems in production, handle on-call responses and scaling.
• Improve monitoring, alerting, and incident response to minimize downtime.
• Develop workflows for CI/CD, containerization, orchestration, logging.
• Participate in on-call rotations and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Advance infrastructure automation, deployment, and orchestration.
• Collaborate with software engineers to enable model-training experiments.
• Build a cloud platform that abstracts infrastructure complexities for teams.
• Create workflows and tooling to improve reliability and performance.
• Ensure security best practices in collaboration with the security team.
• Document processes for knowledge sharing across the team.
