Job summary

Hallmark Luxury Care Homes is seeking a skilled Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and lead the kitchen in their absence. All meals are cooked from scratch using fresh ingredients, with a strong emphasis on quality, safety, and resident satisfaction.

You'll work a 4 days on / 3 days off rota, enjoy paid overtime or time off in lieu, and join a team that values wellbeing, development and a real work-life balance in a luxury care setting.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience in a luxury setting preferred.
• Experience cooking with fresh ingredients daily.
• Excellent communication and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef to foster a warm, efficient atmosphere.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative and enticing menus.
• Use fresh produce to craft high-quality, wholesome dishes that delight residents.
• Assist the Head Chef with stock control to ensure operational efficiency.
• Support regular audits to uphold hygiene and food safety standards.
• Engage with residents to ensure dining experiences meet high standards.
