Job summary

Care UK is seeking a Sous Chef to prepare fresh, nutritious meals for residents in a care home environment. The role supports the Head Chef, offering leadership in the kitchen and a focus on high-quality, compassionate dining experiences for residents.

Shifts run across four days with no evenings, from 7:00 to 17:30, with alternate weekends required. A fully supported induction and opportunity to progress in Care UK's Chef academy are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare catering is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh nutritious meals for residents.
• Lead by example and assist Head Chef in daily kitchen operations.
• Support the healthcare induction program and mentor kitchen staff through Care UK's Chef academy.
• Shifts are straight, with no evenings and a rotation across four days per week.

We are looking for a passionate Chef that will support the Head Chef, lead by example and have the creative flair to showcase high level hospitality. The role consists of straight shifts & no evenings! There will be a fully supported induction showcasing the technical skills required in healthcare and an opportunity to mentor our teams to progress in our own Chef academy.
