Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers PLC is seeking a passionate Sous Chef for the Vintage Inns brand. You will lead a kitchen section, train teammates, and step in for the Head Chef when needed, ensuring high-quality dishes and a smooth operation in a welcoming inn setting.

You will drive stock control, assist with orders, and maintain branded standards while upholding health and hygiene regulations. Join a team focused on guest satisfaction and guest experiences in a cozy pub environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen section and training junior Chefs.
• Ability to manage a branded menu and ensure consistency across dishes.
• Strong stock control, food ordering, and cost-awareness.

Responsibilities

• Be driven to smash targets with your team.
• Train and inspire your team to deliver food to be proud of.
• Support your Head Chef with food ordering, food preparation and stock control.
• Have mastered the art of working with a branded menu.
• Have confidence in managing Chefs and the wider Kitchen Team.
• Oversee that your team conforms to health and hygiene regulations.

As a Sous Chef at the Globe, you will have a passion for serving great food, training great people and leaving a smile on our guests faces. You’ll run a section, ensuring your team are working together as one and you will be the person to step up in leading the team in the absence of the Head Chef. Does this sound like you?
