Job summary

Globe in Bath is seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to lead a kitchen section and step up in the Head Chef's absence. You will train staff, manage food ordering, prep, and stock, and ensure adherence to a branded menu while maintaining high hygiene standards.

The role offers onsite accommodation and a path to progression within Mitchells & Butlers’ Vintage Inns portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience as a sous chef in a busy kitchen (preferred).
• Ability to train and inspire kitchen staff.
• Experience with food ordering, preparation and stock control.
• Knowledge of health and hygiene regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen team to meet targets and maintain service standards.
• Train and inspire staff to deliver high-quality dishes.
• Assist Head Chef with ordering, prep and stock control.
• Ensure compliance with branded menu and portion control.
• Oversee that the team adheres to health and hygiene regulations.
