Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers is seeking a Sous Chef for the Melville Inn with a passion for great food and people development. You will lead a kitchen section, train the team, and step up in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring smooth service across Vintage Inns.

You'll enjoy flexible shifts, staff discounts, and opportunities to progress within a supportive, value-driven pub group. A strong focus on hygiene and stock management is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef or similar role in a branded pub/restaurant environment.
• Passion for great food and developing people.
• Ability to lead a kitchen section and step in for Head Chef when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen team to deliver consistent dishes.
• Train and inspire staff to maintain standards and service pace.
• Assist Head Chef with ordering, prep and stock control.
