Job summary

Toro Lounge, part of Loungers, is hiring a full-time Sous Chef to join the kitchen team. You will lead shifts, support the Head Chef, and ensure every dish leaving the pass meets high standards.

The role offers a competitive base salary, bonus, overtime, and genuine progression opportunities across Loungers’ growing brand. As a Sous Chef you’ll drive team performance, uphold kitchen discipline, and contribute to a positive, busy service across 48-hour contracts (40-hour option available).

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef or Chef de Partie ready for next step.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen shifts with confidence, keeping service smooth and on spec from prep to final plate.
• Be the Head Chef’s right hand, supporting day-to-day operations and stepping up in their absence.
• Set the tone for high standards on the pass, focusing on food quality, pace, cleanliness, hygiene and safety.
• Take ownership of key kitchen routines including prep, stock, waste, orders and handovers.
• Coach and develop the team to deliver great food every shift.
