Job summary

The Plough, part of Mitchells & Butlers PLC, is seeking a Sous Chef to lead a kitchen section, train great people and ensure guests enjoy excellent food. You’ll step up in the Head Chef’s absence and run the team in harmony with your colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen team.
• Ability to train and inspire staff to deliver high-quality food.
• Experience with food ordering, prep and stock control.
• Ability to manage chefs and the wider kitchen team.
• Compliance with health and hygiene regulations.

Responsibilities

• Be driven to smash targets with your team.
• Train and inspire your team to deliver food to be proud of.
• Support your Head Chef with food ordering, food preparation and stock control.
• Have mastered the art of working with a branded menu.
• Have confidence in managing Chefs and the wider Kitchen Team.
• Oversee that your team conforms to health and hygiene regulations.
