The role offers a salary of £34,000-£35,000 plus a fantastic range of benefits and opportunities to develop leadership skills in a lively hospitality environment.

As Sous Chef, you’ll support the Head Chef, prepare high-quality dishes, and help lead the kitchen team while maintaining top hygiene and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready to step up.
• Passion for fresh food, quality and consistency.
• Confidence in supporting and motivating a kitchen team.
• Good knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
• Able to stay organised and calm during busy services.
• Reliable, positive attitude with hands-on approach.
• Willingness to travel to the Christchurch area for work.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef with the smooth running of kitchen operations.
• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes consistently.
• Lead, motivate and support the kitchen team during busy services.
• Maintain excellent food hygiene, health and safety standards.
• Assist with stock control, ordering and minimising food waste.
• Ensure food preparation and presentation meet required standards.
• Help create a positive and organised working environment.
