Mint People is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at a beautiful restaurant inn in the Lake District. This ongoing, temporary opportunity offers the chance to lead service and uphold high standards in a stunning location.

You will support the Head Chef, manage the kitchen during busy periods, train junior staff and maintain strict hygiene and stock controls. A passion for quality food and calm efficiency are essential.

Qualificações

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef is essential, along with strong leadership skills, a passion for quality food and the ability to remain calm and organised in a busy kitchen.

Responsabilidades

• Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
• Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to a high standard
• Leading and supporting the kitchen team during service
• Ensuring your section runs efficiently and effectively
• Maintaining high food hygiene, health & safety and kitchen standards
• Managing stock levels, deliveries and food rotation
• Taking responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
• Training and mentoring junior members of the team
