Job summary

Taste Hospitality Recruitment Limited is recruiting for a Sous Chef for a well-established 4 Star Hotel in the Lake District. You will join a busy fresh food kitchen, working closely with the Head Chef to maintain high standards during service.

The ideal candidate will have solid Sous Chef experience in a high-volume kitchen, strong leadership, and a passion for Classic British seasonal dishes. The role offers training, progression, and a supportive team in a stunning location.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef in a busy kitchen.
• Proven ability to lead a team and maintain standards during service.
• Knowledge of fresh, seasonal ingredients and menu planning.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations.
• Lead and motivate the brigade during busy services.
• Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
• Assist with stock control, ordering and food cost management.
• Help train and develop junior kitchen staff.
• Ensure food hygiene and health & safety standards are met.
