Job summary

The Olive Branch in Wimborne, part of Hall & Woodhouse Ltd, is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join a busy kitchen team. You’ll help run service, develop menus, and ensure consistency with our central specs while upholding high standards of food safety and presentation.

We offer £14.50 per hour with tips, 60% meal discounts on shift, free chef uniform and shoes, and opportunities for progression including Head Chef development and Level 3 apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Organised chef with supervisory experience.
• Confident with a range of cooking techniques and equipment.
• Comfortable with the admin side of the kitchen and on top of food safety and allergen rules.

Responsibilities

• Run service when needed and support the kitchen leadership.
• Apply central specs for cooking and presentation with minimal variation.
• Maintain food safety standards and allergen controls.
• Mentor and support junior staff to help them grow.
• Ensure efficient, consistent operations during busy service periods.
