Job summary

Nottingham Forest Football Club is seeking a talented chef to join the First Team Catering team at The Nigel Doughty Academy in Nottingham. You will work alongside our Chefs to prepare, cook and present high quality dishes to specification, ensuring consistency and freshness.

The role involves assisting with menu ideas, training Commis Chefs, managing portions and waste, and upholding health and safety and food hygiene standards in a busy stadium kitchen.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional kitchen environment.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene practices.
• Ability to contribute to menu ideas and training of junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality nutritious dishes within the given specification.
• Assisting the Head Performance Chef in creating menu items.
• Preparing Carbohydrates, vegetables, vegetarian, protein (meat and fish).
• Assisting with the management of health and safety.
• Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices.
• Managing and training any Commis Chefs.
• Monitoring portion and waste control.
• Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards.
