Butcombe Group is seeking a Senior Sous Chef to join a team in a fast-paced pub kitchen. You’ll work alongside the Head Chef to uphold high standards of food quality, presentation and service, while developing and mentoring junior chefs.

You’ll lead by example, ensure safe operations, and help manage stock and compliance. This role offers a supportive environment with great learning and career development opportunities in picturesque locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy kitchen at a senior sous level.
• Proven ability to lead a team and mentor chefs.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, allergen handling and HACCP principles.

Responsibilities

• Work with Head Chef to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely.
• Support with food prep, service and day-to-day kitchen management.
• Maintain high standards of quality, presentation and consistency.
• Coach and mentor chefs, building capability and confidence.
• Assist with stock management, ordering and compliance.
