Job summary

Get Golfing CIO, a charity supporting English golf facilities, seeks a skilled Sous Chef to join the culinary team. You will report to the Head Chef and help deliver high-quality dishes for members and visitors across 11 sites with thousands of members.

You will lead kitchen operations in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring quality, speed and presentation while maintaining high food-safety standards and controlling costs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
• Previous Sous Chef or equivalent role preferred.
• Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or related field.
• Solid knowledge of culinary techniques and tools.
• Leadership, time management and communication skills.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in developing and implementing menus.
• Prepare, cook, and plate dishes in a timely manner.
• Oversee kitchen staff in the Head Chef's absence.
• Ensure food prep and storage meet health and safety standards.
• Minimize waste and manage portions and inventory.
• Uphold cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.
• Expand culinary knowledge to introduce new items.
