Job summary

The Stables at Whitby, part of The Inn Collection Group, invites a skilled Sous Chef to lead kitchen operations in a bustling seaside inn. You will work closely with the Head Chef to deliver high-quality dishes using fresh ingredients and to uphold our standards.

In this fast-paced role you’ll manage stock, cost menus, oversee cleanliness, and cover the Head Chef when needed, while collaborating across kitchen, FOH and management teams to ensure memorable guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience as a sous chef or senior kitchen staff preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration with Head Chef.

Responsibilities

• Lead a talented kitchen team and contribute to menu development and costing.
• Manage stock control and order ingredients from nominated suppliers.
• Oversee kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards.
• Cover Head Chef in their absence and ensure smooth daily operations.
• Work closely with Head Chef and collaborate with front-of-house and management.
