Job summary

Marston’s PLC in the UK is seeking a hands-on Sous Chef to join our busy kitchen. You’ll be right in the action, supporting the Head Chef and stepping in on shifts as required.

You’ll help run the line, maintain high standards of food and service, and mentor a passionate team. We offer a supportive pathway, flexible hours, and benefits designed to reward commitment.

Qualifications

• Branded or similar kitchen experience required.
• Experience as a Commis Chef considered an advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure and lead during service.

Responsibilities

• Be second in command to Head Chef and cover shifts when needed.
• Assist Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen.
• Run the line during service and ensure quality plating.
• Oversee, organise and develop the kitchen team.

As Sous Chef you’ll:

Be right in the action in our kitchen, second in command to our Head Chef – stepping up and covering for them when they’re not on shift.

• Offer previous branded experience in a similar role or as an experienced Commis Chef
• Assist our Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen
• Accountable for running the line during service
• Oversee, organise, and encouragethe kitchen team - helping to develop their skills
• Be passionateabout maintaining the highest standards of food and service
