Job summary

Marston’s PLC is seeking a Sous Chef to join our pub kitchen. You’ll be right in the action, second in command to the Head Chef, and you’ll cover shifts when they’re unavailable. You’ll oversee the line, support the kitchen team, and help maintain the highest standards of food and service.

Qualifications

• Branded experience in a similar role or as a Commis Chef.
• Assist Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen.
• Accountable for running the line during service.
• Oversee, organise and develop the kitchen team.
• Maintain the highest standards of food and service.

Responsibilities

• Be in the action in the kitchen, second to Head Chef.
• Cover Head Chef when off shift.
• Run the line during service with consistency and speed.
• Support and develop kitchen staff to improve skills.

Leading by example, you’ll ensure hot, quality food that you and the team can be proud of gets presented to the pass each and every time.

As Sous Chef you’ll:

Be right in the action in our kitchen, second in command to our Head Chef – stepping up and covering for them when they’re not on shift.

• Offer previous branded experience in a similar role or as an experienced Commis Chef
• Assist our Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen
• Accountable for running the line during service
• Oversee, organise, and encouragethe kitchen team - helping to develop their skills
• Be passionateabout maintaining the highest standards of food and service
