Job summary

Grouse & Claret is seeking a Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. You’ll lead by example, ensuring hot, high-quality food is presented to the pass and maintained to our standards.

Second in command to the Head Chef, you’ll cover shifts when they’re away and help drive the team’s development with a passion for great food and service.

Qualifications

• Offer previous branded experience in a similar role or as an experienced Commis Chef
• Assist Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen
• Accountable for running the line during service
• Oversee, organise, and encourage the kitchen team - helping to develop their skills
• Be passionate about maintaining the highest standards of food and service

Responsibilities

• Be right in the action in our kitchen, second in command to our Head Chef – stepping up and covering for them when they’re not on shift.
• Run the line during service and ensure smooth operation.
• Support the Head Chef in managing all kitchen activities.
• Help develop and coach the kitchen team to improve skills and performance.
• Maintain the highest standards of food quality and service.
