Job summary

The Mason's Arms, a traditional 19th century pub with modern accents near Battersea, is seeking a Sous Chef. You will be deputy to the Head Chef, taking full control of the kitchen when they are away and ensuring high standards of freshness using seasonal, local ingredients.

We value creativity, team leadership, and a strong commitment to food safety and hygiene. Expect to lead a dedicated kitchen team and contribute to a vibrant pub dining experience.

Qualifications

• Hygiene qualification, excellent food knowledge and food safety awareness are essential.
• Proactive deputy to Head Chef with the ability to step in when needed.

Responsibilities

• Take full control of the kitchen when the Head Chef is away.
• Prepare fresh food made from seasonal, local ingredients.
• Bring new ideas and create fresh dishes.
• Bring the best out of the kitchen team.
• Take pride in every successful service.
