Berkeley Scott seeks a Sous Chef for a branded restaurant group's new Glasgow City centre opening in January. The permanent role offers a package up to £49,750 annually, comprising a £32,750 base salary, roughly £15,000 in tips and a bonus scheme. Tips are paid during annual leave as well as worked weeks, alongside healthcare and structured development. The successful candidate will help lead a back of house team of 15 to 19 chefs and kitchen staff within a high volume operation, so prior experience in a branded restaurant or similar setting is preferred. We''re working with a growing branded restaurant group on the appointment of a Sous Chef for their new city centre opening in January. This is a high volume operation, so the successful Sous Chef will ideally come from a branded restaurant or high volume background, and will be comfortable working at pace within a back of house team of 15 to 19 across chefs and kitchen team. Experience with stock control and ordering systems is essential. This is a hands on Sous Chef position in a fast paced kitchen, so you will be running services, supporting the Head Chef with ordering and stock, and helping to develop the junior chefs around you. The group invests heavily in its people, with structured development, healthcare and clear career pathways. Candidates will need to be available to start in early January in order to be in place ahead of the opening. As this is a brand new opening, the incoming Sous Chef will have the opportunity to help shape the kitchen and set standards from day one.
