Job summary

Marston's PLC in the United Kingdom is seeking a Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and lead the kitchen during service. You will be the second in command, ensuring smooth line execution and consistent quality.

You’ll coach the kitchen team, uphold high culinary standards, and adapt to busy periods with passion for great food and service. The role offers reliable hours and a clear career pathway within Marston's extensive pub portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience in branded gastropub kitchen environments.
• Previous Commis Chef role or similar experience is required.
• Able to run the kitchen line during service and manage line cooks.

As Sous Chef you'll: Be right in the action in our kitchen, second in command to our Head Chef - stepping up and covering for them when they're not on shift.

• Offer previous branded experience in a similar role or as an experienced Commis Chef
• Assist our Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen
• Accountable for running the line during service
• Oversee, organise, and encourage the kitchen team - helping to develop their skills
• Be passionate about maintaining the highest standards of food and service
