What we look for in a Sous Chef:
This role requires someone that can inspire a team, bring out potential, and lead by example while maintaining delicious, consistent plates of food.
- Experience championing excellent service through quality food as a Sous Chef.
- Passion for leading and developing a team.
- Active, hands-on team player with excellent communication skills.
- Responsible for managing the kitchen staff rota, training, and health and safety effectively at all times.
- Ability to demonstrate creativity and design new dishes for menus and specials.
- Strong planning and organisational skills to maintain controls over GP and labour.
- Pro-active in driving sales and growth through engagement with kitchen and front of house teams.
Additional Requirements:
We are looking for an existing Sous Chef or Senior CDP seeking their next step, who considers themselves a natural leader with a passion and flair for producing quality, fresh food in a welcoming environment. The successful candidate will:
- Have experience championing excellent service through quality food.
- Demonstrate a passion for leading and developing a team.
- Be an active, hands-on Chef with excellent communication skills.
- Manage the kitchen staff rota, training, and health and safety effectively.
- Work alongside the Head Chef to design and deliver new dishes for menus and specials.
- Maintain effective controls regarding GP and labour.
- Drive sales and growth through engagement with kitchen and front of house teams.
