Job summary

The Greyhound is recruiting a Sous Chef to join Brunning and Price. This role is a path to Head Chef with opportunities to grow within the group andpub family. Basic salary up to £35,000 plus tronc, with a total package up to £41,500 including bonuses and other incentives.

You’ll work closely with the Head Chef, manage kitchen operations, and help create exciting new dishes while enjoying benefits such as free meals on shift, staff discounts, pension and life assurance.

Qualifications

• Previous catering and hospitality experience at junior sous, sous or kitchen manager level is essential.
• Ability to run the kitchen alongside the Head Chef and drive the food culture.
• Positive attitude and readiness to grow within the business.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef in running the kitchen and developing menus.
• Lead and motivate kitchen staff to deliver high-quality dishes.
• Ensure consistent service and maintain safety and hygiene standards.

About you...

Previous experience in catering and hospitality in a restaurant, gastro pub or hotel at junior sous, sous or kitchen manager level is essential, as well as a positive attitude. Working alongside the Head Chef you’ll be responsible for running the kitchen, driving the food culture and keeping your team and our customers engaged with exciting new dishes.
