Job description

Join us as an Assistant Vice President Sourcing Manager at Barclays, where you will optimise and address Barclays' 3rd party spend requirements, including the definition, development, and implementation of approaches for relevant spend categories and requirements, with close collaboration within the business and execution of strategic sourcing and buying channel development/optimisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Profile spend in category areas and develop understanding of business strategy, requirements, cost levers, and opportunities. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify sourcing needs, develop RFPs, and align sourcing activities with bank priorities.
• Plan and execute sourcing events, including RFP/RFXs, and negotiate to meet business requirements for value, speed, compliance, and risk.
• Monitor and guide controls and compliance throughout the sourcing cycle, including regulatory engagement, controls, audits, and data quality.
• Develop, implement, and operate policies and procedures for sourcing activities aligned with policies, standards, and regulations.
• Identify and deliver change opportunities to improve sourcing processes, including buying channel optimisation.
• Stay informed on industry trends through conferences, training, and market research.

Candidate Profile:

To succeed, you should have experience in stakeholder management, commercial knowledge, negotiation, and influence skills. Valued skills include resilience, self-starting ability, multitasking, and good time management. You may be assessed on skills such as risk management, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital/technological proficiency.

This role can be based in Glasgow, Northampton, or Knutsford.
