Job summary

A1 Jobs Ltd is seeking dedicated Recycling Operatives to join an environmentally conscious team at a busy waste management facility. You will sort, process, and handle recyclable materials safely while contributing to sustainable recycling practices.

The role offers opportunities for practical manual work and personal development in a dynamic environment. Shifts include 4 on 4 off days and 4 on 3 off nights.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical systems is advantageous but not required.
• Able to perform heavy lifting safely as part of daily duties.
• Physical fitness to stand for long periods and perform manual handling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Collect and sort recyclable materials from designated areas, ensuring proper separation of types.
• Operate machinery and equipment in the recycling process following safety protocols.
• Perform heavy lifting of recyclable items as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area for a safe environment.
• Assist with loading and unloading recyclable materials onto lorries or conveyor belts.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify maintenance needs or hazards.
• Follow health and safety regulations diligently during daily operations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and sustainability.
