Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking a Recycling Operative to join their on-site team in Ambergate. The role is hands-on and fast-paced, working across departments with Saturday and Sunday shifts and two weekdays off.

You will help sort materials, keep equipment clean, and support maintenance while following health and safety rules. Ideal candidates are health and safety conscious, reliable team players who can stand for long periods and handle manual tasks in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Able to work in a fast-moving environment.
• Previous recycling or warehouse experience helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Working on the sorting belt to separate recyclable materials.
• Carrying out general cleaning duties, including cleaning down machinery and work areas.
• Assisting with the basic maintenance and upkeep of machinery (e.g., clearing blockages, reporting faults).
• Supporting different departments as required depending on workload.
• Following all health & safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Ensuring materials are handled and processed correctly.
• Working as part of a team to meet daily production targets.

The Best Connection are actively seeking a Recycling Operative, who is looking to progress, is flexible working in various departments, and can work both Saturday and Sunday weekly (with two flexible week days off)...

This is a hands‑on, fast-paced role working across various departments on site. You'll play a key part in supporting the recycling operation and ensuring materials are processed safely and efficiently.

Previous experience in a similar working environment would be advantageous...

Shifts / pay rates :

• Monday to Friday: £13.17 per hour
• Saturday: £19.75 per hour
• Sunday: £26.34 per hour
