Job summary

JDR Recruitment are recruiting for Recycling Operatives based in Trafford Park. The role involves sorting and segregating recyclable materials, assisting with loading/unloading, inspecting for contamination, and operating machinery when trained.

You will help maintain site cleanliness and follow health and safety procedures. It is a busy, industrial environment with duties that include PPE use, reporting hazards, and working as part of a team to hit operational targets.

Responsibilities

• Sort and segregate recyclable materials according to company procedures.
• Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles delivering or collecting recyclable materials.
• Inspect incoming materials and identify contamination or non-conforming items.
• Operate machinery and equipment when trained and authorised.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards across the site.
• Assist with stock movement and storage of materials within designated areas.
• Follow all site health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Wear and maintain appropriate PPE.
• Report hazards, accidents, damaged equipment, or unsafe practices immediately.
• Support processing operations to maximise recovery and recycling rates.
• Work effectively as part of a team to achieve operational targets.
