Job summary

Nuffield Health Brentwood is seeking a Radiographer to work on an ad-hoc basis at the Exeter Hospital. This role allows you to utilize state-of-the-art equipment while providing compassionate care to patients. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services, working with skilled practitioners, and supervising junior colleagues.

The ideal candidate will hold a BSc in diagnostic radiography or equivalent and possess excellent teamwork skills. The role offers flexible work hours and a variety of benefits such as discounted gym membership.

Radiographer

Up to £20.00 per hour depending on experience

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.

As a Radiographer at our hospital, you’ll bring high levels of technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately. You have a great eye for detail and you’re caring by nature. You hold a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography or equivalent to meet the registration requirements of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), a postgraduate qualification and excellent teamwork skills.

As a Radiographer, you will:
  • Help deliver our high‑quality diagnostic imaging service
  • Experience a varied caseload in the department, on the ward and in theatre
  • Work with leading practitioners and new practices, equipment and facilities
  • Carry out scoping to develop policies and procedures
  • Supervise and develop junior colleagues
  • Ensure that what you do is delivered with sensitivity and compassion

Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital

The Exeter Nuffield hospital is based next to the RD&E hospital in Wonford, Exeter. The hospital has 2 theatres, as well as a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre and an Endoscopy suite. There are two ward areas: an inpatient area with 21 beds and a day‑case ward with 12 beds. We also have a busy outpatient department, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and radiology department including an MRI scanner. We specialise in elective orthopaedic and spinal surgery, cardiology including invasive procedures, general surgery, plastics and cosmetic surgery, ENT, and gynaecology. The Hospital has a MAKO robot that undertakes some of the joint replacement surgery which we have become well known for in this field of surgery.
