Job summary

Splunk, a Cisco company, is hiring a Solutions Engineer to drive technical validation and value-led conversations across Ireland and Scotland. The role supports UK Commercial Sales, travels as needed, and collaborates with multiple SEs and regional managers to grow the customer base in public and private sectors.

Qualifications

• Clear and effective communication in meetings, calls, emails and RFPs.
• Strong presentation and demonstration skills; storytelling in demos.
• Active listening and ability to capture customer needs.
• Good organisational, prioritisation and time management skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience with cloud platforms and IT architectures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Establish and own strong technical relationships within the territories you support.
• Own achieving the ‘technical win’; move opportunities from qualification to technical validation and into business validation.
• Develop technical activity plans to help customers validate Splunk products and value outcomes post-sale.
• Partner with the Regional Sales Manager in in-person and remote meetings with customers to discover needs.
• Support clients through the buying process with presentations, demonstrations, workshops and Q&A sessions.
• Scope and run Proof of Concepts with clients to agreed success criteria and timelines.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Splunk solutions and update opportunities in Salesforce.
