Solutions Engineer

Adyen seeks Solutions Engineers with strong technical understanding, hands-on experience with integration design, project management, and a merchant-focused approach. As a Solutions Engineer, you will be the primary contact for our merchant's technical teams, guiding them through the design, development, testing, and launch of their integrations with Adyen's platform. Your goal is to ensure an exceptional merchant experience throughout the project lifecycle.

This role involves working on diverse projects across payment solutions, including e-commerce, marketplaces, and card issuing programs. Utilizing your technical skills and business insight, you will facilitate smooth implementations and maintain open communication with merchants and internal teams. The position is based in our London office; ideal candidates are both consultative and technical.

What You'll Do

1. Utilize development skills to create scalable solutions for merchant integrations, following payment best practices.
2. Guide merchants through integration processes in verticals like e-commerce, point of sale, and multi-channel platforms.
3. Work cross-functionally with Sales, Account Managers, Product, and Engineering teams to enhance merchant experiences.
4. Manage projects to ensure high-quality delivery and technical integrity of merchant integrations.
5. Advise on optimizing payment solutions, including checkout, authentication, omni-channel payments, and onboarding, collaborating with Developers and Product Managers.

Who You Are

• At least 2 years experience with Web API integration or technical consultation.
• Quick learner of new technologies; understands complex systems like APIs, databases, SDKs.
• Excellent communication skills; comfortable engaging with decision-makers.
• Capable of providing pragmatic solutions to complex integration issues.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience in the payments industry is a plus.
