Job summary

HP is seeking a Pre- Sales Technical Consultant in Reading, United Kingdom. The role focuses on understanding client business needs, designing IT solutions, and presenting these solutions as a trusted advisor to support the sales team through to adoption and integration.

The candidate will conduct PoCs, lead demonstrations, and develop technical documentation while staying updated on industry trends and HP offerings.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in technical consulting or pre-sales.
3–5+ years in technical consulting, pre-sales, or solution development.

Responsibilities

Engage with customers to understand business requirements and design tailored IT solutions.
Lead product demonstrations, answer client questions, and highlight key features.
Conduct technical evaluations, validate feasibility, identify risks, and propose mitigations.
Develop technical docs, specs, and pricing models for proposals.
Educate clients on technical aspects and integration with existing infrastructure.
Lead PoCs or pilot projects to demonstrate value in real-world environments.
Build relationships with prospective clients and address technical questions throughout the sales cycle.
Provide training and support to the sales team on technical aspects of products.
