Why this job matters

As a lead consultant in our Defence Solution Design Authority practice, you will work as a trusted industry partner to our defence customer, supporting internal business units (Sales, Business, Technology, Security, Operations), key stakeholders, and third-party technology providers. You will report to the practice manager.

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and the customer to conceptualise their strategic vision, capture requirements, and create innovative digital solutions aligned with their digital strategy, transforming their business operations.

This role involves using robust ICT framework architecture, security principles, methodologies, industry best practices, and customer compliance policies. As a solution architect, you will provide expert solution architecture expertise and ownership throughout all stages of the solution design lifecycle.

You will be part of a Solution Design Authority team working closely with other architects, designers, technology experts, business managers, and analysts, ensuring successful delivery across various sensitive and unique projects.

What you'll be doing
  • Engaging with customers, stakeholders, and partners to provide architecture governance, leadership, and solution decision-making aligned with architecture principles.
  • Developing and owning enterprise architecture artifacts, strategies, and roadmaps from business and technology perspectives, including 'as-is', 'to-be', and transitional states.
  • Providing expertise to stakeholders in shaping and qualifying complex service change, delivery, and resource requirements.
  • Responding to customer RFI, Contract Change Notification, Solution Design Proposals, and bids throughout the solution lifecycle.
  • Delivering architecture outcomes such as proofs of concept, whitepapers, bid documents, and high-level designs addressing customer requirements.
